Irish flapper girl, miniature art doll figure

Happy St. Paddy’s Day! 🍀🍀🍀

I created this little Irish Flapper girl to celebrate the day and all things green!

She is a mixed media miniature art doll figure.

SIZE:
A little less then 6 inches tall

DETAILS:
I sculpted her face using paper clay. I do not use molds so every face is unique and one of a kind. I then painted her features to bring her to life!

Her body is made by creating a wire armature and wrapping it with string and cotton to form the shape.

Her hair is made from dyed cotton and is adorned with a painted muslin hat trimmed with a tiny painted clover that I cut from a piece of vintage lace. It is also trimmed with tinsel ribbon and a piece of green lace.

Her dress is made from dyed muslin and trimmed with green fringe, another clover made from painted lace, and a sash made from ribbon and vintage silk thread.

She is wearing a necklace made from wire string with tiny seed beads.

She is mounted on a wooden base decorated with vintage gold glitter and vintage gold rick rack.
