Marie Antoinette with pug, miniature art doll figure

Who needs cake when you’ve got a sweet little muffin of love?

This miniature art doll figure was inspired by Marie Antoinette and her pug Mops.

SIZE:
Marie- 71/2 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide
Dog- 1 inch long, his head is about 8mm! So tiny!

DETAILS:
I sculpted Marie and her dog’s face using paperclay. I do not use molds so every face is unique and one of a kind. I then painted their features to bring them to to life.

I made their bodies by creating a wire armature and wrapping them with string and cotton. The dog’s body is spun cotton.

Marie’s dress is made with a variety of materials, including vintage dyed lace, painted lace, painted satin roses, ribbons, and other trims.

The dog is laying on top of a velvet bed trimmed with lace.

Marie’s hair is made from cotton and is adorned with vintage embellishments, lace, faux pearls and tiny rhinestones.

She is mounted on a vintage glass salt bowl trimmed with lace.
