Easter in the garden, miniature art doll sculpture

Spring is finally here and the Easter bunny is preparing for the big day with the help of some friends!

This is a one of a kind, mixed media, miniature art doll sculpture.

I created this piece to celebrate the childlike wonder within us!

Size:
The whole piece is about 71/2 inches tall and 5 inches wide.
The bunny is about 5 1/2 inches tall

DETAILS:
The Easter bunny’s head is sculpted from paper clay. I do not use molds, so every face is unique and one of a kind. I then painted the features to bring him to life!

His body is made by creating a wire armature and wrapping it with cotton and a glue mixture to form the shape.

He is wearing clothing made from various materials, including velvet, ribbon and trims. His pants are made from painted muslin. He wears a butterfly bowtie that I created from watercolor paper, paint and spun cotton.

He is holding a tiny bluebird made from clay and paper. He also holds an Easter basket made from cardboard, painted string and painted clay eggs.

He stands in a garden of flower maidens. I created them using a variety of materials, including clay paper, fabric, ribbon and wire.

He is mounted on a wooden base covered with cotton and adorned with vintage trims, painted clay eggs, and miniature chicks that I created from clay, cotton, wire and paper.
